Colour Hybrid Hair Trends

Gone are the days when hair colour trends could be described as something so simple as blonde or brunette.

Now everyone's talking about new hair colour hybrids. Remember the sweet treat mash-ups such as the cronut, the duffin and the brookie? Well now the whole blend word thing is coming to hair and it shows no signs of slowing down.

First there was bronde, an easily understandable blend of brown and blonde as sported by J-Lo, the face of L'Oreal's new bronde hair colour.

Next came ronze, a gorgeous mix of red and bronzey brown as seen on Emma Stone, Jessica Chastain, Amy Adams and Julianne Moore. It's a great way for brunettes to get a coppery shine without going full blown red, or for red-headed ladies to put a new twist on their hair colour without completely abandoning their, erm, roots.

We've seen the silvery grey blonde hair colour really take off... but now we're seeing grey mixed with other colours too. See 'gravender', grey meets lavender. So pretty.

White blonde hair is the perfect base for pastel dyes. We're loving the new super subtle washes added to platinum blonde hair where you're not quite sure if you'd call it pink or platinum blonde. So we're just going to go right ahead and call it platinink.

Do you have a new favourite hair colour?

*We may have just made some of these words up. But the hair colour is definitely a thing 🙂
